Oxytetracycline HCl 200 mg
Oxytetracycline is effective against someprotozoa. Terramycin Powder is indicated for prevention and treatment of infections caused by bacterial and Mycoplasma organisms in poultry i.e CRD, sinusitis, infectious coryza, pneumonia Blue comb & synovitis. Oxytetracycline Powder usually used in calves, goats, poultry, sheep and swine. Terramycin Powder withdrawal times for meat should over 8 days.
Description
Tylan Powder Chickens and Cattle is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, effective against a large number of
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (except Pseudomonas, Klebsiella and Proteus spp.).
Indications
Terramycin Powder 20% is effective against Actinomyces, Rickettsia, Mycoplasma and Chlamydia and is thereforere commended for treatment of Mortellaro, Moraxella bovis conjunctivitis in calves, Atrophic Rhinitis and MMA syndrome in pigs, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma infections in poultry. The antibiotic effect is bacteriostatic. Contra-indications Do not administer to animals with kidney and liver malfunctioning. After long-term treatment, complications may occur due to vitamin B and vitamin K deficiencies, which are caused by disturbances in the microbiological digestion.

Do not combine with other antibiotics like penicillin and cephalosporin.
Dosage and administration
For oral administration via feed or drinking water. Tylan Powder Chickens : 200 g per 200 – 300 litres of drinking water during 4 – 5 days. Terramycin Cattle : 200 mg per kg bodyweight daily, during 3 – 5 days. Terramycin Pigs : 2,000 g per 1,000 kg of feed or 100 mg per kg bodyweight to a maximum of 200 mg per kg
bodyweight daily, during 3 – 5 days. Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. High concentrations of Iron, Copper and Calcium in the water can result in formation of coagulation complexes.
